In collaboration with Hauss Dance the third annual presentation of Twin Cities choreographers is breaking out of the box as COVID-safe-and-savvy, super fun, round-robin festival of new dance.

Choreographers:

* Madelyn Burnham

* Ann Carlson

* Samantha Heggem/John Surber

* Gemma Isaacson

* Rachel Lieberman/Kelsey Peterson

* Maddi Miller

* McKayla Murphy

* Jennifer Pray

* Kayla Schiltgen

* Ayumi Shafer

* Ray Terrill

* Choreographers selected through an audition process led by project director Sarah Hauss and 2020 Inbox Panelists: Derek Phillips and Noelle Awadallah

How the Concert Works:

There are five performance stations (indoors and outdoors), with a maximum of 8 audience members seated at each station. Each performance lasts 3-4 minutes. Coordinated and led by Inbox staff, the audience members move from station to station, to see a total of eleven performances. All audience members and all indoor performers are required to wear masks, and audience placement is designated within 6-foot footprints to adhere to established physical distancing standards.

The Lake Harriet Rose Garden is stunning in summer. The Dances at the Lake Festival is modeled after  a sister dance festival held on the Duluth LakeWalk, that features many dance organizations, including youth ensembles, performing two nights of various forms of contemporary dance. Founded by the Christopher Watson Dance Company, the festival is in its 19th year. The Ray Terrill Dance Group is now sole producer. Dancers are local, from other states (and occasionally international) who perform for the greater Twin Cities audience. This FREE outdoor event is a great way to introduce anyone to contemporary dance.
